Current TV Baes

Current TV Baes

Not apologising for the use of “bae” one single bit *insert sassy girl emoji* but here’s a lil list of all the TV shows I’m currently gorging myself on. You’d really think I would have thought about getting a life right about now. However, in my Netflix bliss bubble I have encased myself within, I’m getting into a lot of new and fresh television with is super fun whilst toddling along with some old faves. So here we go, check out some of the stuff for yourselves as well …

1. The Walking Dead

My current bae. Holy freaking hell I love it so much. I wasn’t really sure if a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies was my kind of thing but boy was I wrong. You see the thing is, it isn’t “really” about the zombies. I mean, like it is obv in the fact you gotta try and avoid them and kill them and not get bit all the damn time, but it’s also about the breakdown of society and the chaos that ensures. Scary times. It’s an amazing show with a fast-gripping and ever-changing storyline and whilst it’s all tough stuff, there is a little romance thrown on the side as well for us all to lap up.

2. Grey’s Anatomy

The heartbreaker. Never have I cried so much at TV as I have with this. It’s beautiful. It’s sad. It’s real. It’s simply one of the best shows on TV right now. I haven’t had much time recently to encase myself in this show as it’s something I just need to sit down and let it wash all over me for a day. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a day like that in a while. The character in Grey’s Anatomy are so real and I absolutely adore Callie. And Alex, he’s a bae.

3. Friends

Awwwwww I’m back on the Friends boat. Who doesn’t love Friends. I’ve recently been plodding through the older seasons, just watching it here and there when I need a little laugh or a chance to gaze at my dream life in New York City (I like to think the Friends one is a little more attainable than the Sex and the City one).

4. Hebburn

My absolute guiltiest pleasure. One of my all-time favourite shows. If you like Gavin and Stacey, you’ll like this slightly shitter although still hilarious Geordie version of the show. So so so funny. The characters are hilarious, especially the Grandma. The humour is just so down to earth and the jokes aren’t far fetched and it’s just fucking brilliant.

5. Fresh Meat

Another all-time fave which I’m catching up with every week. This is the best representation of university I’ve seen on TV. All the characters are hilarious and definitely have real-life counterparts in every university. I’ve definitely met an Oregon and a Josie anyways. Just some good British humour.

6. Gavin & Stacey

I don’t think I really need to say much about this show because you all SHOULD have seen this. I’m just treating myself to a little bit of it every now and then because it’s freaking brilliant.
