Sixty Facts About Me

I realise a lot of you who read this know me so probably know about 48 of these “facts” but forever in hope of new readers, I thought I’d do a little post about me. Random facts about me. Yeah I know I’m self-obsessed blah blah blah but it’s something I want to do and it was quite fun noting down all these things about myself which I sometimes I forget. Even if you don’t blog or care about writing things down, I still think it would be a fun list to have. Because you are you, and you are completely unique.

Lets go …

  1. I lack a middle name. Much to my despair.
  2. I was born in 1998.
  3. I’m an Aquarius and I DO read what it means every week. Haters gonna hate.
  4. I love my iPhone and can’t imagine life without one.
  5. I have one younger sister.
  6. I study History at the University of Glasgow.
  7. I hate judgemental people. And people who undermine others.
  8. I cry a lot.
  9. I have tried every sport under the sun as a kid: ballet, tennis, swimming, horse-riding, you name it, I tried it.
  10. I watch a lot of TV and my all-time favourite shows are Pretty Little Liars, One Tree Hill and Lewis.
  11. I love reading.
  12. I’m a self-proclaimed basic bitch.
  13. I love to-do lists.
  14. I like Instagram more than Twitter.
  15. My favourite alcoholic beverage is a nice white wine. Or Prosecco because prosecco.
  16. My ultimate comfort food is macaroni cheese.
  17. I have an addiction to Diet Coke.
  18. My favourite colour is red.
  19. My favourite animal is a giraffe.
  20. I spoke German and French in high school but I am fluent in neither.
  21. I left high school in 2015.
  22. I have two homes: Glasgow and my parents’ farm.
  23. I like to ask why rather than how.
  24. My favourite city in Europe is Paris.
  25. My favourite childhood holiday was to Euro Disney.
  26. My most treasured possessions are my trunk, a bangle my grandmother gave me, a bangle my mum gave me and my toy dog, Mimi. And my real dog, Pip.
  27. My favourite vegetable is a spring onion, if that’s a vegetable.
  28. And I don’t like mashed potato.
  29. Mexican food is my favourite.
  30. History was my favourite subject at school.
  31. I sucked at Maths.
  32. I love animals, especially dogs and cats.
  33. I had my nose pierced three times in one year and I still don’t have a nose piercing.
  34. Ella Enchanted is my favourite film. Notting Hill is a close second. The Lord of Rings in third. Miss Congeniality in fourth.
  35. I’ve never been on a camping holiday.
  36. My mum picked from the names “Kirsty”, “Lindsay” and “Katie” when I was born. She went with Kirsty obviously.
  37. I don’t like Ketchup, only mayonnaise.
  38. I can waste hours of my life watching vlogs from Zoella, Sprinkle of Glitter, Hannah Gale and Dizzy Brunette 3 on YouTube. Literally hours.
  39. I’m a scaredy-cat. I almost cried at the Edinburgh Dungeons.
  40. I was born on a Sunday.
  41. My 18th birthday is one of my favourite memories, even though I was in bed by 10.
  42. I don’t have a favourite song but Ho Hey by The Lumineers could be close. It is the only Lumineers song I know.
  43. I loved the Black Eyed Peas when I was younger.
  44. My favourite Disney film is Aladdin.
  45. I’ve had two jobs: in a restaurant and then in a cafe. I’ve also babysat.
  46. I hate coffee.
  47. I went to a Mormon meeting with a friend once and I own a Mormon bible. But I have no interest in converting. We went for the purpose of education.
  48. I’m scared of heights. And something more irrational which I won’t mention.
  49. I was once asked who my role model was at an interview and I replied with “writers – they have the power to shape and change opinions with simple words” and I stand by that.
  50. I once dressed as a smurf for Halloween. I have regrets about that life decision.
  51. My family mean the world to me and my mum is my best friend.
  52. This year I’m going to visit two countries for the first time.
  53. I love wearing pyjamas. And tartan pyjamas are more comfier than other pyjamas, that’s a well known scientific fact.
  54. I wanted a summer birthday when I was a kid. So I could have an outdoor tea party.
  55. I love Winnie the Pooh stories. And Enid Blyton.
  56. Urban Outfitters is my favourite shop.
  57. Lindisfarme is my favourite place in the UK. Glasgow is a close second.
  58. I only joined a gym this year. And that was because the membership was included in halls fees.
  59. I’ve never been to London. But it’s on my bucket list. Which I just wrote.
  60. I have a wanderlust that I’m too lazy to act on 77% of the time.

    Sat hungover in an economics lecture and find myself not having listened to one word of the lecture and instead read about 50 of your posts 😂 Love the new layout and obvs the posts 💁🏼 Hope your enjoying being back in Glasgow, I enjoyed our catch-up and we need to do it more regularly!! Anyways was just saying hi, and thanks for getting me through this hellish lecture ❤️
