Embracing my love of interiors is something I’ve been doing a lot recently. Since my parents moved house in the summer of 2017, I got the chance to add to things into my room, buy the random pieces of furniture, hang the prints on the wall and it was amazing. Since developing my own style and perusing many a Pinterest board, I’ve released I often hone in the same few places to shop interiors.
Buying homeware isn’t always necessarily cheap ~ and there is nothing worse than your fave blogger banging on about ‘affordable’ furniture from West Elm. As dreamy as West Elm is, it is out of range of a lot of our budgets (out of mine certainly), so I’ve turned to other online spots for dreamy interior styles.
I thought I’d just whip together a quick post of my faves in case you are styling up a room and have lot all inspo or you are just bored and want to plan for your dream life.
In all honesty, I didn’t really know what Urban Outfitters was before I went to university. Tad embarrassing to admit that online but honesty is a virtue. Glasgow has a dreamy Urban Outfitters store which features some dreamy homeware bits on the top floor but I recently started shopping interiors on their website and haven’t looked away.
Urban Outfitters is a dream for quirky pieces and I found both of my bedside tables on there. I always shop in the sale to make it a little more affordable – I spied my marble topped table when it was originally £95 and eventually snapped it up for £60 in a sale. My other table purchase from Urban Outfitters was the bird feet table that Wendy of Thank Fifi spoke about on Instagram stories a while back (her bronze one is here). Again this is a super quirky piece that you won’t find kicking around Ikea and I also managed to snap it up in the sale.
Other purchases I’ve made from Urban Outfitters include gorgeous shelves (also in the sale) and if I had a proper home of my own, I’d definitely be snapping up a coffee table. I love the American apartment style of all the furniture – definitely helps me dream that I’m in NYC!

Desenio have recently taken the interiors world by a storm with their slow Scandinavian style and was one of my stops when curating my gallery wall. They have a style for everyone on there and their website is vast but affordable. It would be impossible to shop on Desenio and not find something up your street as I repeat, there literally is something for everyone. Into inspirational quotes? Check. Into Kate Moss? Check. Into plants? Check. Into highland cows? Check.
You can also buy your prints framed which I haven’t actually ever done as I get a bit bowled over at the price my basket comes too once you throw in frames. But in hindsight I would 100% snap them up on that because finding cute and chic frames for 28465 different sized prints is a right bore so I could have saved myself all the bother and probably would have saved myself money too.
A lot of bloggers seem to have done work with Desenio in the past (Rush & Teal, The Little Plum, Rhianna Olivia to name but a few) so keep your eyes peeled for any discount codes floating around the internet and save yourself some extra pennies. Desenio prints are perfect for adding a bit of personality to any space or for contributing to a gallery wall.

H&M Home is the chicest of chic Scandi style. Anything you buy from H&M Home will be guaranteed dreamy level of 100. No lies. Glasgow’s new H&M Store is a treasure trove of home bits as the homeware section is pretty big. H&M Home is my favourite for finding storage solutions ~ basket shopping is a dream in there.
They also have gorgeous tea towels, crockery, coasters and cushion covers. I would suggest keeping an eye out on their sale rails as I snapped up a botanical print cushion cover for half the price and felt like a right smug duck. H&M Home is very fairly priced ~ you can find absolute steals and some things are at the more pricier end of the budget.
One of the items I have my eye on at the moment is a gold wire basket for £17.99 which I think would make a fantastic bin for my room. I just don’t want to part with £17.99 at the moment. H&M Home is perfect if you have a laid-back, relaxed style with the occasional pop of quirkiness.
