10 little things #21.

I have had the busiest week and the busiest weekend and next week is looking just as busy and oh my god I need a lie in. It is not a want, it’s a need. The semester is also finally over which is the best thing to happen to me in the last 11 weeks, not a joke. I can’t wait to head home on Monday night and spend some much needed time with my little doggo, family and friends.

I have a feeling this Christmas is going to be one of the best ones ever. We’ll be in the new house and I’m going to put up a tree in my room because I’m extra and I’m going spoil my little doggo with toys and treats. I’m hoping the weather stays cold because there is nothing better than going for a walk when it is frozen outside.

Get me home already (except I need to pack & tidy & buy Christmas presents so). Anyway, the Little Things …

little things.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens | This baby has been put on Netflix so naturally I decided I needed to watch it on Wednesday night (a break from essay writing) even though I’ve seen it several times before. And it was just as amazing. Amazing. I am so excited for the next instalment which is coming out so soon!

Glossier Order | When Glossier first started shipping it to the UK I was so far out of the loop I pronounced it literally instead of Gloss-e-ay. I think that is how it is supposed to be pronounced. But when Black Friday rolled around (or Black November whatever) I decided to purchase some bits and I definitely think it lives up to the hype – in my expert opinion. I opted for the Milky Jelly Cleanser, Priming Moisturiser, Balm Dot Com in Rose and the Boy Brow. And the packaging is amazing in case you needed anymore tidbits about how boring I am and how excited I get over lame things.

Milky Jelly Cleanser | From the aforementioned Glossier order, this is my favourite product. I love the lip balm but it is just lip balm (don’t @ me) but this is a game changer. It is so soothing and soft and cool on your face. And it is a no mess cleanser. I recommend if you are in the market for a new cleanser and it’s not too expensive at £15, a little bit of splurge but not hello bank balance why are you decimated.

Cinnamon Bun | We ran out of milk on Wednesday so I popped to Tesco in the morning as I had no breakfasting materials. But instead of just purchasing the milk and coming home to make scrambled eggs or porridge, I snapped up one of these delicious darlings and didn’t look back (or go near the scales if I owned them).

Mr Selfridge | After watching the Downton Abbey Finale for the fourth time in the 10 days I thought it was time I moved on and gave something else a spin. So I landed on another ITV historical drama. It isn’t half as good as Downton Abbey but it is still funny and charming and good to watch.

End Of Semester 1 | University is finished until January 8th! This is the best week ever! I’m exhausted! I’ve written over 10,000 words in the last week! I am living for this five weeks holiday. Don’t go to university kids, it is emotionally draining and I don’t know how to string a sentence together anymore. This has been the quietest of semesters in some ways but has also been the most intense workload wise (all my courses were hard, I have massively over estimated my abilities) but I’m so pleased with how I’ve kept up The Monday Project.

Chips | I’ve eaten so many chips in the last week and it is a bit gross. Due to all the essays I’ve had chips for tea three nights because hell yeah nutrition. I’m turning into a giant carbohydrate. I don’t really have much else to say except I’m going to try and not eat so many chips next week.

Heroes Advent Calendar | My mum has really treated me this year. Instead of the bog standard Cadbury’s advent calendar, instead this year mum has treated me to the Heroes edition. It started safe with a Cadbury’s Dairy Milk (typing this segment up on Friday eve) and having a little bit of chocolate every morning is what I’m about.

December | Also it’s December in case anyone didn’t notice. I love December, I love Christmas, I love holidays. It is the best time of year and I’m also excited for 2018 – I feel like it is the breathe of fresh air I need. But I don’t want to rush myself through and I want to appreciate every day as it comes!

Edinburgh’s Christmas | I headed over to Edinburgh for a day of festivities with Emma and it was the loveliest day. We pottered around the markets, ate street food, had some cocktails, caught up with Emma’s sister and her friend, popped into the shops and went on the big wheel which was an amazing view over Edinburgh looking beautiful in its Christmas lights.
