Five Friday Things

It has been a v busy week, let me tell you. I went home Monday to Wednesday, was in London on Tuesday, signed the flat lease for the next academic year on Thursday and sat my first exam of this lot on Friday. Now for a girl who spends most of her time lolling around, this was a big old shock to the system.

I have just sat my first exam and I just want to lie in bed for a while and not think about anything. I’m watching new episode of Riverdale (<3) and whilst it makes me cringe more than I believed possible, I still really enjoy it.

What’s In My Bag | Uni Edition

These posts are one of my faves. I’ve seen them popping around recently, I really enjoyed Jenny’s YouTube vid version (there was also a cameo from a dachshund, I love dachshunds) and Lis’ one featuring the cutest stationary. One super sunny March afternoon after submitting my classics essay (all my coursework for this semester has been submitted yaaaas, now just actual exams to go), I emptied out my uni bag and TAH DAH, the contents.

I just thought I’d share because I fancied it and tbh this is a tidy bag and purse situation, I usually have loads of train tickets and subway tickets scuttling about the bottom of here to. But I must have cleaned it out recently because none, repeat, NONE.

Five Friday Things

The first week of revision has almost been and passed us. I’m starting to write this on Wednesday night and shit me I’ve just realised it is 23.39 and I fully intended to go to bed tonight around the 22.30 mark as I’m going to try and make it to the library for 8.30 tomorrow. Shucks, that plan is scuppered before it has fully begun.

I’m back in Glasgow after two blissful weeks at home and I’ve had a week of pretending to revise (read: sitting in the library tapping my toes to 70s Smash Hits on Spotify or lying in my bed watching Netflix). I can’t quite believe how fast exams have snuck up on us but I can tell you I am already very excited for them to be over.

The Papergang: March

I think the prize for sounding like a broken record the most in their life, goes to me. But seriously, this box has to be my fave. I know I say that about all of them but this one is so pretty. I love the pastel colours, pastels are really big this year and these notebooks and other bits and bobs are so atheistically pleasing.

As exams are ticking on, I’m pretty sure these notebooks will definitely see the light of day in the not too far of future. I hate revision with a passion but using beautiful stationary does make it a little bit easier.

Lost

I don’t blog about personal melodrama all that often. I’m terrified of the response I would get, that people would hate me and go out of their way to tell me so. I read and follow so many bloggers who have shared their stories online, used their blogs as online journals, offloaded their problems and fears and dreams onto a world of online strangers who don’t know them from the next person and for the most part, they seem to be okay after doing so.

The past couple of years have been a big change from the previous 17 before them. I moved to the city. I entered higher education. I made a batch of new friends and unfortunately lost some old ones. I changed multiple times, my personality, my style, my hair colour. And it has been exhausting.
