Glasgow weather has been a little bit demented of late and as much as I want to shave my legs and stick on a summery dress, it’s a little bit difficult. This combined with my desire to get up explicitly late and end having to rush out the flat in whatever I find on my bedroom floor makes looking nice in spring kind of hard.
Spring style this year seems to be all about gingham, metallic and as always, pastels. Stripes are usually my go to thing so it feels a bit strange to be wearing less and less of them this season, although I can’t seem to detach myself from an ancient striped top from H&M.
It’s Thursday, I’m lying in bed and I’m going to drive to Berwick later to pick up my iPad !!! I am very freaking excited for that, let me tell you. I’m currently watching Criminal Minds season 11 and I am obsessed with, absolutely obsessed. I’m tweeting about it constantly and I can’t believe I’m almost on season 12.
This has been a pretty quiet week, I went for a really nice dinner with some old friends on Monday night but have spent the rest of the week “revising” whilst rolling around in my bed, scrolling twitter and watching Criminal Minds. I have however made a super sexy Urban Outfitters order and super sexy Boots order with some Essie nail polishes in it. I’m bloody excited to paint my nails later this afternoon after I go and pick it up, very very very excited.
We have had three people come to view our flat in the last couple of days and it is grinding on me. Our landlord keeps fussing about washing being hung up and how clean the flat is and man, it is hard to try and live your life. It is a Saturday and I am wearing a kimono dress which I may or may not wear outside because oh my god, the sun is shining outside and it looks bloody glorious.
I’m going to go the cinema later with my flatmate and then play on the wii tonight as our new wii remotes and nunchucks arrived today and hey, exams, how you doing? I stayed up till 4 last night watching the first season of Silk and I now fancy myself as a bit of an expert on the criminal bar.
Home is so where the heart is. Wherever your home may be of course, be that your hometown, your parents house, your own home or your favourite place in the world, whether or not you actually live there.
I was sitting in my bed on Sunday night at home in the Scottish Borders watching a cheeky lil bit of Criminal Minds (season 4 in case anyone is wondering) when I realised I didn’t have any of the things I needed with me to take blog pictures for the blog posts I had planned in the next couple of weeks so all my blog posts went out the window and I needed to brainstorm.
Ah a whole week (almost) at home has been pretty divine let me tell you. I’ve spent most of this week lying in bed “revising” (aka watching Criminal Minds with a notebook open next to me), snuggling with my dog and eating a trillion mini chocolate bites from M&S. I think those chocolate bites combined with diet coke is now defining my blood type.
The weather is now perking up a little bit except the farm seems to be a bit of a wind tunnel which makes the air seem a hundred times chillier. Not fun for spring at a all.
