I love writing little weekly write ups for two reasons. 1) I love posting more than twice a week but the old brain cells just don’t want to do too much thinking sometimes so voila, a solution and 2) it is super important to realise and appreciate the little things.
I’ve played around with several variations of this type of post: monthly favourites, five friday things, five friday favourites, monthly edits. You get the picture. I always get bored and think the name I’ve chosen sucks so I usually give up after a few attempts. This time feels different however: it doesn’t need to be big funky paragraphs, I’ve decided this time it can be as simple as a single sentence.
It is Thursday evening and I have had a really good day, like a really good day. I’ve fake tanned (one of my newest hobbies) so I think I smell quite nice and I did a Garnier moisture tissue mask for the first time and I think I can already feel a different in my skin. My flatmate did tell me I looked like Hannibal Lecter which was alarmingly true when I looked in the mirror – maybe don’t do one of these if you home alone late at night after watching a horror film if you are a giant wuss like me.
It’s been a strange old week: no exams means no responsibilities (well kind of) and I’ve been ambling around the West End eating out and drinking cocktails. V nice for me, a change from my usual spirits of rolling around in my bed in a hoodie that hasn’t been washed in weeks. I have done lots of packing and lots of tidying and lots of moping around because I’m moving out my lovely flat on Sunday and I am going to miss it so much.
Thursday night, two exams down and I’ve just jumped on the Lost bandwagon. I realised earlier this week every TV show I’m watching (full list: Pretty Little Liars, Criminal Minds, Riverdale, The 100, The Originals and Reign) are all realising episodes weekly so I can’t binge watch things.
Things you should not do when you should be revising but I need a TV show. Tori assures me it is very good but this post is not to chat about everything I’ve been watching on TV of late (but I mean, you can check that list out over here).
It has been a v busy week, let me tell you. I went home Monday to Wednesday, was in London on Tuesday, signed the flat lease for the next academic year on Thursday and sat my first exam of this lot on Friday. Now for a girl who spends most of her time lolling around, this was a big old shock to the system.
I have just sat my first exam and I just want to lie in bed for a while and not think about anything. I’m watching new episode of Riverdale (<3) and whilst it makes me cringe more than I believed possible, I still really enjoy it.
It’s Thursday, I’m lying in bed and I’m going to drive to Berwick later to pick up my iPad !!! I am very freaking excited for that, let me tell you. I’m currently watching Criminal Minds season 11 and I am obsessed with, absolutely obsessed. I’m tweeting about it constantly and I can’t believe I’m almost on season 12.
This has been a pretty quiet week, I went for a really nice dinner with some old friends on Monday night but have spent the rest of the week “revising” whilst rolling around in my bed, scrolling twitter and watching Criminal Minds. I have however made a super sexy Urban Outfitters order and super sexy Boots order with some Essie nail polishes in it. I’m bloody excited to paint my nails later this afternoon after I go and pick it up, very very very excited.
